As you know, I’m in the process of editing an anthology of nonfiction unsolved mystery stories to be published by Hic & Hoc in early 2013. We’ve started to get some terrific submissions so I thought I’d give you guys a few previews of what you can expect from our book. Here is the first page of a story by the very talented Sam Alden, a Portland cartoonist who’s sent us a story about the Mary Celeste. His work, as you can see, kicks a ton of ass and we’re so happy to have him included.

We’ll be accepting submissions for this anthology until September 15th! We’re looking for a diverse range of visual and narrative styles, so please send us your work if you’ve got an unsolved mystery comic up your sleeve. Details here.
