Unsolved Mysteries Anthology Still Accepting Submissions!

Hey Everyone! As you may remember, I am in the process of editing an anthology of Unsolved Mystery stories for Hic & Hoc Publications. I’m really excited about this project and hope that as many people as possible will participate. We are still accepting submissions of 2-10 page nonfiction comics stories through August 1st (specific submission details can be found at the bottom of this post)! Once we start getting a few more submissions, I’ll post some preview pages on this blog – so please, keep the submissions coming!

For those of you still trying to come up with an idea, here is a list of stories that have been pitched to me to inspire you (and to prevent any overlap):

The Axe Man of New Orleans
The Dyatlov Pass Incident
The Marfa Mystery Lights
Deuteronomy 21: Atonement for an Unsolved Murder
The Lead Masks Case
The Barton Murder of Hamilton, Ontario
Spontaneous Human Combustion
The Beale Treasure
The death of Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers
The possible murder of Dmitri Ivanovich
Washington Irving and the real Sleepy Hollow
The disappearance of Barbara Newhall Follett
The Nain Rouge

I highly recommend looking these stories up on Wikipedia as they are all fascinating. Also worth looking at for inspiration are the Wikipedia List of Unsolved Deaths and the Wikipedia List of People Who Disappeared Mysteriously. I’m really pleased with all of the responses I’ve been getting but we’re still looking for more, so keep them coming! I’m so excited to see how all of these comics turn out and from what I’ve seen so far, it looks pretty promising. Submissions details below:
